Group training organisations (GTOs) in Queensland are required to undertake different types of audits, scheduled at different times.

Compliance audits

The department determines the timing of subsequent compliance audits for a GTO and will be scheduled at least once every 5 years from the initial or previous compliance audit.

Self-assessment audits

In accordance with the National Standards, GTOs are also required to conduct an annual self-assessment audit against the standards. These self-assessment audits will enable GTOs to identify issues and implement improvements to ensure continued compliance.

A GTO is required to undertake the self-assessment process by 31 December each year and to submit the self-assessment report to the department by 31 January of the following year.

These self-assessment audit reports are required for both desk-based and site audits.
