Industry Skills Solutions (ISS) develop skills for industries critical to Queensland's growing economy.

With a $13 million investment, it is currently focussing on the priority sectors of:

ISS involves Queensland Government partnering with employers and industry. Together they create and deliver training to:

  • attract and retain new workers
  • reskill, upskill, or build on the existing qualifications and skills of existing employees
  • initiate skilling solutions where an accredited pathway is not yet available.

ISS initiatives may focus on:

  • vocational education and training products such as micro-credentials, skill sets, and skill clusters
  • skills gap training
  • workforce development strategies to help businesses respond to changing technology and workplaces.
