| Amarni’s passion for nursing began at age 10 while recovering from a knee reconstruction. Inspired by the care and compassion of the nurses, she decided on nursing as her future career. Now in Year 11, Amarni is completing a traineeship as an Assistant in Nursing at Laidley Hospital, gaining valuable skills and experience in the health sector. Outside of her studies and traineeship, she actively contributes to her community as a junior referee and League Safe representative for her local rugby league club. | After completing a Certificate II in Health Support Services and CPR and First Aid Certificates, Madison knew she was on the right career path. Now finishing a traineeship at Toowoomba Base Hospital whilst in Year 12, she is thriving in a diverse team environment and gaining valuable experience in hospital operations. Outside the workplace, Nina supports local community initiatives, mentors new trainees and continues a long-standing involvement with Roma Highland Dancers. | Sophie turned a school-based traineeship in Certificate III in Business into a flourishing career. | Wade spent years repairing trucks, bobcats, and excavators across the Western Downs before formalising his skills with a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology through the MTA Institute's one-on-one workplace training model. Named MTAQ Apprentice of the Year 2024, he worked with the Penrite Racing team in Melbourne as part of his prize. Now, Wade and his wife Lisa run a STIHL outdoor power equipment business, and he serves as captain of the local Queensland Fire station. His training experience drives his passion for promoting the automotive industry in regional areas, encouraging women and rural apprentices to join the trade. | After years in payroll alongside Electrical and Instrumentation technicians, Aimey decided to pursue the trade herself. She completed a dual apprenticeship in Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control at CS Energy. Balancing family life and work, Aimey tackled block training in Brisbane and time away from home with determination. As the only woman on her maintenance team, she has fostered a more inclusive workplace, championing safety and equality. Aimey leads by example, mentoring apprentices and inspiring others to break barriers in male-dominated industries. | Fascinated by the mystery of electrical systems, Brendon set out to master them through methodical learning. He completed a dual apprenticeship in Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician and Certificate III in Instrumentation and Control at Tarong Power Station.
