​​Support is available for registered training organisations to help their staff to complete a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

​This will help deliver a strong pipeline of vocational education and training (VET) teachers to train the workers Queensland needs.

​The support comes in 2 forms:

  • ​Financial assistance for registered training organisations to employ people who will complete a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122). We call these people ‘trainees’.
  • Scholarship payments for trainees when they reach key milestones to help them complete their training.

​Timing

​Applications are now open until 30 December 2027.

​Eligibility

​Your organisation must:

  • ​be a Skills Assure Supplier (SAS) approved to deliver training and assessment services in Queensland
  • ​demonstrate your capacity to provide on-the-job support, mentoring, and supervision for trainees
  • ​work with a Queensland public provider to deliver the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
  • ​commit to ongoing employment for the trainee after they complete their traineeship.

​Registered training organisations who are not Skills Assure Suppliers may be considered on a case-by-case basis. To be considered, please submit a business case to to TAESupportRTO@dtet.qld.gov.au. Note, smaller training organisations and those delivering training for areas with skills shortages will be given priority.
