How apprenticeships deliver
Apprenticeships help build Queensland’s skilled workforce and support a strong economy. They give Queenslanders a chance to earn while they learn, combining paid work with hands-on training that leads to real qualifications and job-ready skills.
In Queensland alone, more than 25,700 apprentices and trainees completed their training in 2023–24, ready to step into skilled roles and contribute on the job. Across the state, tens of thousands of people are actively in training, building the workforce needed now and into the future.
For employers, apprenticeships deliver real business value. They help develop motivated, productive workers who contribute from day one, support innovation and strengthen competitiveness. By developing skills where they are most needed, apprenticeships help meet the workforce demands of major projects and ensure Queensland has the skilled people required to support a strong, resilient economy now and into the future.
